Yankee Candle The Perfect Tree - Review
Hey guys!
Previously on "Christmas Candles - 2017 edition"...we talked
about Christmas Eve and Star Anise & Orange.
Today our star is The Perfect Tree, released by Yankee Candle in 2017 with the collection The Perfect Christmas.
After all this bragging about perfection, let’s say that the expectations were high. Were they fulfilled? We will find out in the next paragraphs (I am sure the suspense is killing you now…).

According to Yankee Candle:
"This is your perfect tree – balsam and fir-scented with festive snowy branches
Top notes: evergreen garland, and bergamot.
Mid notes: pine needles, white birch, and glowing
amber
Base notes: fresh cut pine, incense, and cedar."
Well, I would say
that the description is quite self-explanatory this time: this candle smells like
balsamic pine…So nothing really new under the tree sun. I can feel the evergreen
garland, the pine needles and the woods (no trace of the bergamot if you ask
me).
Do you like green
and balsamic fragrances? This is the scent for you!
You do not like the
pine notes? It will be like applying the Vicks VapoRub all over again.
So at this point my work would have been already done but...I made my own blog so now I have to review in it!
Jokes aside, this fragrance recalls all the most greeny and piny notes of Christmas time. The scent we would expect to feel entering a snowy woods, where the frosting air is mixing with the balsamic resin of pines and spruces. It also remembers me of the oil fragrances my mom used for the heaters (I always liked them so much!).
I have tried the medium-size jar and the fragrance is
reasonably intense, even if the nose easily gets used to the scent so, at some
point, you just stop noticing it unless you are entering the room. Thus, this candle is
perfect to fresh the air up before a guest’s arrival or to be used in a hallway. Also, the vivid green of the wax is perfect for matching
the Christmas decorations!
Let me know if you have tried this scent and if you
are for the pine party or the Vicks VapoRub one! Anyhow: yes we Yankee!
Cheers
